                                                                                 Preparing Your Items

We know that tagging and peparing your items takes time so please read the following tips and instructions to help you make the best use of your time as well as to help aid you in effectively tagging and displaying your items. We use an online tagging system that makes tag preparation simple and keeps everything organized.

The first thing you need to do is check all of your items for cleanliness, tears, broken or missing parts, and for any recalls. IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT YOUR ITEMS BE CLEAN, THIS MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE SUCCESS OF YOUR SALE. WE WILL REFUSE ANY ITEM THAT IS NOT IN GOOD CONDITION SUCH AS BROKEN OR MISSING PARTS, ODORS, PET HAIR, STAINS AND TEARS. Make sure that you have registered online as either a new consignor or
returning consignor.

GATHERING YOUR SUPPLIES
The following are some supplies you may need, depending on the items you bring to the sale.

HANGERS, REQUIRED FOR ALL CLOTHING except onesies (wire hangers work best but any can be used - *hangers will not be returned)
ZIPLOC BAGS (variety of sizes depending on items) for small items/parts
SAFETY PINS (medium and large) to secure items to the hanger
PACKAGING TAPE (heavy & clear), string or zip-ties to secure items
WHITE paper - preferably card stock  NO COLORS!!
* we are permitting for this sale the use of any WHITE paper for tags. However, it is to your benefit that you use a heavier paper such as card stock to decrease the chance of tags being torn or falling off.

WE RECOMMEND THE USE OF TAGGING GUNS. THEY ARE CHEAPER, FASTER AND EASIER TO USE THAN PINNING YOUR TAGS. YOU CAN PURCHASE TAGGING GUNS WITH 1000 BARBS FOR AROUND $15 ON EBAY! If using tagging guns please tag on the seam under the arm or through the clothing tag to avoid putting holes or tears in the clothing.

CLOTHING

* Your clothing must be hung on the hanger.  The only exception is onesies. They may be placed in a
ziploc bag. Consider grouping 3 or more onesies together for one price....they will sell better.

If you are hanging an outfit that includes pants or skirts, hang the pants with the shirt so that they
can be easily seen. DO NOT TUCK OR FOLD THE PANTS OR SECOND PIECE UNDER THE
    SHIRT.
ALL ITEMS MUST BE ABLE TO BE EASILY SEEN BY THE SHOPPER. YOU MUST
    ALSO PIN
THE SECOND PIECE TO THE FIRST OR THEY WILL BECOME SEPARATED AND
    LOST.
Turn the shirt around so that you are facing the back, then safety pin the top
of the pants to the shoulders of the shirt. Try to grasp the top lines of the hanger so that the pants
don't weigh down the shirt. Single pants, shorts or skirts should be pinned at the waistband to the
top part of hanger to prevent sliding. Pin any accessories (hairbows, tights, belts etc.) to the outfit
if you are adding any. Please button and fasten all zippers on the clothing.

We recommend pairing like items. It is wise to create sets when possible as they sell better than
    seperates
. PLEASE DO NOT CROSS SIZES IF YOU ARE COMBINING ITEMS.

*  If you are selling several articles of clothing as a "bundle" you have two options: The first is more
cost effective (saving on hangers) by pinning the articles of clothing together on one hanger  OR
hang them on separate hangers and zip-tie or gumband the hangers together. Keep in mind that
they need to be securely fastened together otherwise they will become separated and lost.
Also, ALL PIECES MUST BE EASILY SEEN BY THE SHOPPERS, do not "tuck" one piece under
     another.

*  YOU MUST PIN YOUR TAGS ON THE CLOTHING, OR USE A TAGGING GUN (TAG
THROUGH CLOTHING TAGS or SEAMS TO AVOID HOLES IN THE MATERIAL) -
   DO NOT
TAPE YOUR TAGS ON, THEY WILL FALL OFF RESULTING IN
   UNSOLD
ITEMS FOR YOU.

SHOES

*  The best method of selling your shoes is to put them in a ziploc bag with the tag taped to the
     outside.
However, you can tie your shoes together (not by the laces) using yarn, string or zip ties
and then pin the tag to the shoe. Keep in mind that they can become untied so again, the best way
is using the ziploc bags. YOUR SHOES MUST BE CLEAN AND IN GREAT SHAPE. PLEASE DO
NOT BRING SHOES THAT HAVE DIRT AND MUD ON THEM. YOU WOULD NOT PURCHASE
SHOES IN THIS CONDITION SO DON'T EXPECT OUR SHOPPERS TO DO SO.
PLEASE BRING  ONLY YOUR BEST LIKE NEW SHOES!!

SMALL ITEMS
Accessories and smaller items sell best as a lot (hair access., socks, rattles, etc.). Package these
items as a group of 3 or more in a clear ziploc bag.
*  Small items such as belts, bottles, hairbows, and other miscellaneous items fit GREAT in Ziploc
bags. We DO recommend using them for the smaller items. Safety pin or tape (do not tape over
barcode) the tag to the outside of the bag.

BOOKS AND VIDEOS

*  Books (must be clean and in new condition) and DVD's can be sold individually or bundled.
If you are bundling the books or movies, do so by taping or tying them together or putting them in
a Ziploc bag. If the buyers cannot see the titles when bundled you may want to tape a list of titles
on the front of the first book/video. Tape the tag to the front of the item.

TOYS

*  Please make certain that all pieces of a toy item are securely fastened together and that your toy
is complete. You may use zip-ties, packaging tape, ribbon, Ziploc bags etc. but please make
sure that all items are secure. We have signs asking parents to not allow children to play with the
toys, but we cannot control that completely and inevitably children take things apart, scatter
pieces, and will unfortunately remove tags if they are "in their way" of play. The more secure you
make your toy and tag, the better.
*  PUZZLES: puzzles that do not have a box, such as wooden ones, can be wrapped in plastic wrap
and taped securely so that kids can not rip the plastic off. This will keep the pieces from falling
    out and being lost.

BEDDING

single blankets such as a comforter, quilt, knitted blanket etc. are no longer permitted to be in bags, they must be hung on a hanger so that they can be properly sanitized by us. The only blankets permitted to be in bags are blankets that belong to a bedding set such as matching curtains, bumper pad, lamp, etc.

*  It is BEST to bring your CRIB bedding in a clear bedding bag, such as the one the bedding was
    purchased

in. This allows the shoppers to easily see the bedding without needing to take it out. It
    also keeps
any smaller items such as pillowcases, bedskirts and curtains with the bedding.
*  If you do not have the bedding bag, an alternative that we highly recommend are the XL and XXL
sized Ziploc bags. They work great for this! They can be bought at Wal-mart. I recently found XL
bags at the Dollar Tree (Martin's Plaza) - 2 in a box for $1.....cheap alternative! They were in the
    section with laundry items!

LARGER ITEMS

*  If your larger items have parts or accessories, please put these in a Ziploc bag and securely
tape or fasten the bag shut and then to the large item. Do not put the tag inside of the bag. The tag
should be taped to the outside of the item. I recommend putting an index card or paper inside
the bag with your consignor number on it incase the bag becomes separated from the item or the
tag comes off. This will ensure the return of your item.  The Dollar Tree has XL clear bags (in
laundry section) - 2 in box for $1....really cheap alternative for large items!
